User Experience Manager - GM Financial (Texas)

The UX Experience Manager is responsible for leading a team of user experience designers while working closely with stakeholders, product managers and developers to plan, design, and executes UX enhancements for a variety of websites supported by the GM Financial marketing department.

JOB DUTIES:

+ Planning large design projects while managing multiple aspects of the UX process

+ Managing day to day activities of a team of two or more UX designers

+ Leading team by establishing best practices and design standards

+ Proactively providing feedback/coaching to team members to improve performance, quality of work and preserve integrity of brand guidelines

+ Preparing presentations and leading meetings

+ Collaborate with designers, developers and business team to create UX enhancements and concepts

+ Hands-on development of workflows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

+ Coding HTML/CSS/JavaScript prototypes

+ Researching analytics and user centric data to drive UX changes and enhancements

+ Implementation and monitoring of A/B testing to achieve data driven goals

+ Developing rich UI designs for multiple websites

+ Perform other duties as assigned

+ Conform with all corporate policies and procedures

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to: AVP User Experience

Direct Reports: User Experience Developers

Knowledge

+ Advanced knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator/Sketch/Axure or similar design/prototyping tools

+ Strong understanding of responsive design and related coding techniques

+ Experience with wireframe, workflow and information architecture design

+ Experience conducting user research and analysis

+ Experience crafting A/B testing strategies and implementing analytics funnels

Skills

+ Ability to code prototypes in HTML/CSS/JavaScript

+ Must be comfortable interfacing with developers, designers, product managers and non-technical executives

+ Keen eye to preserve integrity of the design throughout the entire development process

Experience

+ Bachelor’s degree; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

+ 5-7 years of Web Design, UX/UI Design and/or HCI design

+ 2-3 years of experience leading a team of Architects, Researchers, and/or Designers

WORK CONDITION:

Subject to stressful situations arising from timelines, and management of multiple projects.
