VP of Card Strategy & Operations - Security Service Federal Credit Union (Texas)

The Vice President, Card Strategy and Operations is responsible for all aspects of card products/programs, data analytics and performance measurements and the development of the credit and debit card suite, which also includes: vendor Management, ATM network, card processor networks, card plastics, etc. Drives innovation through card design, contactless payments, virtual cards, self-servicing capabilities, life cycle management, etc. Ensures effective card servicing program is in place and optimizes automation through Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.

Responsible for changes and enhancements to security controls of business applications that store, process, and transmit payment credit card data. Provides oversight into payment credit card compliance enforcement and works closely with internal and external auditors as required ensuring payment Credit Cards are in compliance with established standards, NCUA and all other federal agencies and rules. Manages and maintains the Credit Cards program strategic plan to ensure the business can execute against its long-term strategy through development and management of credit policy related initiatives. Leads change through an agile approach including the planning and prioritization of the Credit Card project processes and other change management activities.

Continually reviews departmental processes and proactively recommends improvements to Senior Executive Management. Coordinates with the Payment Channels area in recommending modifications necessary to meet new product/service changes and any other processing requirements. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Bachelor degree in Business Management or related field or comparable experience. Seven (7) years experiences in a financial institution related to payment system credit/debit cards and operations. Five (5) years of management experience with an in-depth knowledge of the payment industry and the systems available to support them. Thorough knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to credit card operations. Ability to develop thorough knowledge of organizational and departmental processes, procedures and systems, company products and services, including the ability to resolve employee and member issues efficiently and with the highest degree of quality. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a highly demanding, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of or ability to learn organizational and/or departmental specific hardware and software systems, process, and procedures. Periodic travel to multi-regional locations, other cities, states and off-site locations and may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
