Job Description:
Our Advance Research \(AR\) line of business is seeking a software engineer to join our Circuit Card Assembly \(CCA\) Hardware Engineering value stream team in the architecture, design and development of their next generation of automated tools and software\. This position is ideal for a software engineer who wants to show up to work and solve a different problem every day utilizing 3rd party APIs and Microservices\.
The Locale:
Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid\-Cities” region in the Dallas\-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas\. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth\. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate\. The Mid\-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty\-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth\. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB \(Hurst, Euless and Bedford\), NRH \(North Richland Hills and Richland Hills\), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth\.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline \(Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics\), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree\. Considered an emerging authority\.
Experience working with software engineering teams through full software life cycle development\.
Experience with REST APIs, Python, and Java\.
Experience documenting software design, software process/plans and test plans & description\.
Ability to present status to the customer and engineering/program management\.
Work on cross\-discipline teams of systems, hardware, software, and test engineers while supporting all phases of application development from concept through qualification testing\.
The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management levels and the customer\.
Position Required Secret Clearance Prior to Start
Desired Skills:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics\.
It is desired the candidate have experience with Agile development processes and tools\.
Strong communication skills in order to adapt/explain solutions to different organizational environments\.
