Network Attack Response Center Engineer. - JPMorgan Chase (Texas)
As a member of our Technology Operations team, your initiative and creative problem-solving will help propel global innovation in technology and business. Working with a team of motivated collaborators, you'll develop and implement strategic technology solutions, ensuring the successful integration of network system and applications servers into existing and new technology infrastructures. You'll play a key role in the care and support of customers, including proactive incident monitoring. Required Skills to be considered for this role:
+ 4+ years of experience in Information Technology with basic level knowledge in one or more Network Services disciplines
+ Excellent client interfacing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management
+ Ability to work independently and in team settings of various sizes and locations
+ Ability to work with colleagues globally across different time zones and adapt to flexible working hours
+ Knowledge of Data mining and analysis, anomaly detection experience (Splunk a plus!)
+ Experience creating/maintaining procedural documents
Preferred skills:
+ BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
+ Scripting/programming skills (RegEx, Bash, Python, etc.)
+ Knowledge of Volumetric DDoS Attack detection and mitigation
+ Core competence with Volumetric DDoS Attack detection and mitigation
+ Prefer financial industry experience, and industry IT/security certifications
+ Strong level knowledge of TCP, deep understanding of vulnerabilities/weaknesses
+ Thorough understanding and experience with firewall technology
+ Strong competency around detection and mitigation strategies for TCP attacks
+ Load balancer experience, understanding of complex logic and behavior
+ Arbor Peakflow/TMS expertise
+ Through understanding of routing protocols (most especially BGP)
+ Experience with DDoS Mitigation service providers (Akamai/Prolexic, ISPs)
+ Ability to use Wireshark to deeply analyze packets and traffic flow
+ Experience working with Internet registries, strong understanding of BGP hijack risks
+ Competency with Cisco routers (ASR)
+ Arbor Peakflow/TMS expertise (willing to train if competent on Radware or other platform)
+ Through understanding of routing protocols (most especially BGP)
+ Experience with DDoS Mitigation service providers (Akamai/Prolexic, ISPs)
