Healthcare Billing Specialist - Aerotek (Texas)

This is a Medical Billing Specialist for a worker's compensation company.

We are seeking an individual who can review doctor's exams, notes and rationale; and based on these results will be able to accurately bill for certain diagnosis. This is sometimes referred to as the "fee schedule".

Additional Duties may include:

This individual will be responsible for sending bills and invoices to customers (insurance companies). They will be following up with clients via phone to remind them of due payments and to get status updates on payments. This will not be "hard" collections but more so reminding clients and staying on top of their payments.

The billing clerk will work frequently in Excel and must be comfortable with numbers and working in a spreadsheet.
