United States Jobs - Conducts analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training programs used in cockpit crew training and qualification at American Airlines for a specific fleet, international operations, human factors, or general subject topic (security, hazardous materials, etc.). Responsible for adhering to Federal (FAA) and Corporate regulations, and production within a specified budget and schedule. Flight training materials represent the full range of media presentation, including: computer-based, web-based, LMS, CD/DVD, instructor-led, video, and paper-based manuals and guides .
Qualifications
Experience in the design and development of aviation training programs in accordance with the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) methodology are required.
Relevant experience with various instructional media, including computer/web-based training, simulator training, and instructor-led classroom training are required.
Experience with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Access; Authorware and other authering tools required.
Bachelors degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience required.
Highly developed interpersonal as well as organizational skills required.
Minimum Commercial Pilot Certificate or equivalent military flight experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to interface with senior management.
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Must be able to pass TSA background check allowing training and work in aviation security.
