Summary of Responsibilities: Senior II Accountants perform a wide variety of diversified assurance services assignments and complex tasks with minimal assistance or direct/constant supervision. They often lead one or more Staff Accountants, instruct them in the work to be performed, review the work done, and direct necessary revisions. Seniors are required to personally resolve all but the most unusual accounting and auditing matters. Essential Functions: 1. Assume full responsibility for completion of engagements (planning, fieldwork, report drafting, final wrap-up) and special assignments using established firm policies and procedures such as AuditWatch, ProFx Engagement, checklists, planning tools. 2. Proactively works on technical (more difficult) sections first and demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of detail oriented and firm standards. 3. Bring any technical issues to the attention of the manager, principal or partner on the engagement. 4. Establish client and filing deadlines in the planning stage and meet those deadlines. 5. Coordinate various phases of engagements, plan engagements, budget time and expenses, monitor actual performance against budget and communicate status to supervisor, manager, principal and partner. 6. Prepare and/or review working papers for accuracy and completeness. 7. Supervise workflow of Staff I, Staff II and Semi-Senior accountants assigned to engagement. 8. Perform preliminary analytical procedures, prepare engagement letter, and assess risk. 9. Follow various checklists to completion including planning, fieldwork and wrap-up checklist.
