Under the general direction of the Quality Assurance (QA) and the Quality Business Process Improvement (QBPI) organizations, the Data Analyst is responsible for providing expertise to analyze various data types, in order to turn data into meaningful information to support problem analysis and informed decision making. The Data Analyst will be responsible for report data trending results and recommendations in order to improve and monitor the Customer Experience, Operational Performance, and Compliance standards within all Lash Group operational programs.

Performs logical data modeling, analyzing and mining business data to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points within a given process from existing internal or external data sources within Lash Group.

Conducts mapping and tracing of data from system to system in order to solve a given business or system problem, or identification of a business opportunity

Designs and creates data reports and reporting tools to assist the Quality Assurance and Quality Business Process Improvement teams in their decision making

Translates data into information that can be effectively utilized in terms that non-technical staff can fully understand

Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine the best course of action to correct the trends within the data

Analyzes and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data

Analyzes reports of data duplicates or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate inter-departmental communication.

Monitors for timely and accurate completion of select data elements

Develops standardized and sustainable approaches to trending of data that improves the Customer Experience, Operational Performance, and ABC Compliance standards

Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data collection and quality

Interprets data and develops recommendations based on findings

Develops graphs, reports, and presentations of data trending results

Creates and presents quality dashboards as determined by the Quality Assurance and Quality Business Process Improvement organizations

Generates routine and ad hoc reports

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Healthcare Information, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields

3 years data analyst experience preferred

Must have experience managing large datasets and performing advanced analytics (i.e. Excel modeling, Access)

Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets

Strong quantitative skills; math / computer science

Proficiency in MS Office Applications, Power Point, and SharePoint.

Strong presentation and communication skills

Innovative thinker and problem-solver; capable of developing new and creative ways of solving complex problems using data

Strong work and time management skills; able to work effectively and independently under tight timelines

Experience in data mining techniques, and knowing when their use is appropriate

Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching

Ability to present complex data, findings, ideas, and/or information to enable understanding and take action.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to review the data for trends, drawing logical conclusions based on these findings

Attention to Detail: Vigilant in precision of data analysis in order to draw the correct conclusion of findings
