Responsibilities :
The successful candidate should be able to work independently within a dynamic, fast paced and business critical trading environment. The candidate must be highly motivated and possess strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills in order to recognize and solve problems quickly. Highly effective planning, organizational skills and attention to detail are essential to meet the departments demanding schedules and goals.



Provide monthly pre-settlement activity to ensure natural gas settlement activity is transparent, accurate and intuitive per the shipper balances and deal parameters. Meet month end settlement responsibilities including sales/net out invoicing and volume balancing activities which are satisfied to meet accounting requirements and timelines. Verify pricing disputes and enter pricing updates. Resource for pre/post settlement discrepancies. Provide resolution of customer issues, respond to customer requests for information and respond to customer feedback on matters related to Shell Energy North America (SENA) including: invoicing, volume issues, receivables, payables, cash applications and netting. Pro-actively keep sales and trading informed throughout the resolution process and coordinate with the group on the contract management process. Facilitate resolution of all volume issues and work through complex pricing, volumetric and invoicing/cash applications issues to final resolution. Work collaboratively with Accounting, Sales, Finance, Operations and Credit to resolve outstanding balances, improve working capital and minimize bad debt exposure. Identify & track instances where invoices have not been issued and resolve outstanding issues. Ensure Endur to Nucleus reconciliation is effective and complete. Manual updates in Nucleus are made in a timely and accurate manner.


Use Salesforce.com as the key contact method. Document all communications and discrepancies in Salesforce. Meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), Team KPI's, and Customer Support Organization KPI's. Reconcile all volumes monthly including purchases, sales, transportation, storage imbalances, pools and interconnects for assigned pipelines. Document pipeline support and ensure internal controls and procedures are followed. Display knowledge and understanding of complex transactions. Track and maintain accurate imbalances in our internal gas management system. Provide and process all volume related inquiries and requests timely and accurately. Establish and maintain excellent rapport with our "customers" both internally and externally. Display aptitude to learn natural gas scheduling/invoicing/accounting systems and other applications quickly. Display strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills. Able to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines. Able to work independently and within a team environment.


Requirements :
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer. High School Diploma (required); bachelor's degree in a business discipline and/or equivalent (preferred). Minimum three (3) years experience with natural gas pipeline balancing, settlement and invoicing working with commercial, operations, producer services, contracts and trading groups. Proven experience working proactively with a diverse group of internal and external customers, responding to their needs while meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (required).
