Content Marketing Specialist - APTIM (Texas)
Job Overview:
The Content Marketing Specialist is a key driver in the development of performance-driven content marketing campaigns that address specific marketing objectives and elicit customer action for APTIM. The ideal candidate will be versed in search engine optimization and will know how to write compelling content for different audiences and platforms with ease. Utilizing marketing tactics and storytelling techniques, they will develop performance-driven content for email, blogs, landing pages, social media campaigns, and both print and digital collateral. They will serve as a liaison with the Environmental Strategic Business Unit (SBU) on publication content. The Content Marketing Specialist will know how to ask the right questions to get at the heart of story. They will be a confident, self-motivated teammate who won't hesitate to jump in and work alongside team members on projects and tasks of all levels. This role will be required to research and define desired target audiences, manage the content creation and publishing process, and monitor consumer and content metrics. The Content Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Meet with the creative and marketing team to ideate and define content goals.
+ Research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing.
+ Develop content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience and marketing goals.
+ Create content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites, and social media.
+ Proofreading and editing content before publishing.
+ Develop and manage editorial content calendars and ensure that the content remains consistent across all platforms.
+ Partner with design for creative needs on our online and offline branded publications.
+ Partner with marketing team to develop content marketing campaigns for specific marketing objectives.
+ Partner with digital marketing specialist to develop engaging content marketing campaigns native to the platform.
+ Partner with Environmental SBU and other SBUs for alignment on project management and timelines for different brand initiatives.
+ Track consumer and content analytics and generate reports and presentations.
+ Keep up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.
+ Identify new opportunities to improve content processes.
+ Foster and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure our department is able to produce timely and relevant content.
+ Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or relevant field.
+ A minimum of 3 years experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or similar.
+ Proficient in multiple kinds of writing: feature stories, profiles, blogs, news articles, white papers, social media campaigns, etc.
+ Proficient in writing for various audiences.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in AP Style.
+ Strong project management skills with experience managing marketing calendars, workflows and deadlines.
+ Must have solid proficiency with Microsoft Office; proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) a plus.
+ Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Prisimic, etc.
+ Strong understanding of content practices such as SEO, SEM, PPC.
+ Experience with Salesforce Pardot is a plus.
+ The ability to keep abreast of content and consumer trends and advancements in technology.
+ Proven ability to manage and move forward multiple projects with minimal supervision.
+ Highly analytical yet creative, able to evaluate information and define challenges or objectives, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and develop solutions.
+ Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
+ Keen attention to detail, the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
+ Photo and video editing software experience in Web Design and content production is a plus.
