Applications Support - JPMorgan Chase (Texas)

You'll collaborate with our talented and dedicated problem-solving technologists across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global network.

The JPMC Web Team is responsible for providing build, SRE and operational support services for all the leading Applications and Web Servers across UNIX and Windows (Distributed) platforms for multiple lines of business giving the successful candidate an opportunity to broaden not only their technical skills but also knowledge of the businesses that combine to make up JPMorgan.

The team works in conjunction with other technology towers and LOBs to ensure that Web products are deployed around a set of standards and best practices that is integrated with the enterprise infrastructure.

We are looking for a Web Engineer who has a proven track record in Application & Web Server deployment and administration.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Familiarity with Web server architecture in a large enterprise.

Knowledge of Web/App servers build and configuring enterprise apps from scratch.

In-depth knowledge of Apache Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere / IHS and a passion for debugging complex problems.

Ability to lead and troubleshoot critical problems in real-time and solve problems quickly.

Ability to motivate team to perform and chart goals, assess risk and enforce standards.

Good working knowledge of JMS, J2C, JDBC, JCA, Web Services and integration with upstream/downstream services

Exposure to at least one of the following operating systems - Linux; Solaris; AIX

Demonstrated capability to lead a team and motivate them to deliver.

It's nice if you have:

People manager experience

Hands on knowledge on Python, Ansible, Bit Bucket
